After you create a scenario, you can build a 3D scenario to display real-time data, status, and alert information from your digital twin model. This topic describes how to build a scenario.
Prerequisites
You have created a scenario. For more information, see Create a scenario.
Add models
In the top toolbar of the scenario editor, Build Scenario is selected by default. In the Scenario Environment panel on the right, you can set the camera, lighting, and background color.
Drag a 3D model from My Resources to the scenario editing area.
You can repeat this step to add multiple models to the scenario.
Click the Add
icon to upload more 3D resources. If you do not have any 3D resources under My Resources, click Upload Model to upload them. For more information about uploading, see Upload 3D resources.NoteIf you have purchased the IoT Digital Twin Ultimate Edition for the current instance, the IoT Digital Twin engine provides official 3D models. You can click Official Resources to view and use the official 3D resources.
Click the Save icon
on the right of the top toolbar to save the scenario configuration.
Set up models
After you add a model on the Build Scenario tab, you can use the move, rotate, and scaling features to set the position, size, and orientation of the model and its submodules in the scenario.
The top toolbar displays the operation icons:
(Move),
(Rotate), and
(Scale). For more information about the editor features, see Build a scenario.
Follow these steps to set up the models in the scenario.
Click an operation icon. The icon turns blue. For example, Move:
.Click a module of the model that you want to modify to select it.
The list of the model's modules appears on the left, and the configuration panel appears on the right. The spatial coordinate system is displayed on the module.
The axes are color-coded: red for the x-axis, green for the y-axis, and blue for the z-axis.
Click an axis in the spatial coordinate system. The selected axis turns bright yellow. This indicates the direction for adjusting the model. For example, the x-axis.
You can also select multiple axes at the same time:
Click the blue area between the x-axis and y-axis to select both.
Click the green area between the x-axis and z-axis to select both.
Click the gray area at the center of the coordinate system to select the x-axis, y-axis, and z-axis.
After you select a direction, move the mouse pointer to adjust the model.
The corresponding operation parameters for the model appear in the panel on the right.
Click the Save icon
on the right of the top toolbar to save the configuration.
You can also enter values in the configuration panel on the right to set the model's coordinates, rotation in degrees, or scaling percentage.
Configure the default view of the scenario
You can set the default view for a scenario page. This view includes the default scaling ratio, coordinates, and rotation angle of the models. This setting determines the initial appearance of the scenario.
Regardless of how you change the model's scale, coordinates, or rotation angle in the scene editor, the scene page is always displayed according to the default view configuration when you open it for previewing or sharing.
In the scene editor workbench of the DEMO digital twin space, you can only move, scale, and rotate the view on the Default View Edit page for preview purposes. You cannot save the edited default view.
In the scenario editor, click Build Scenario on the top toolbar.
In the upper-right corner of the editor's Scenario Environment window, click Start Editing.
On the Edit Default View page, you can move, scale, or rotate the view.
Click Save View.
Click the Save icon
on the right of the top toolbar to save the configuration.
