Overview
IoT Platform provides API operations to manage products, devices, groups, topics, rules, and device shadows, and to publish messages from the cloud. To call an API operation, use a software development kit (SDK) to send a GET or POST request over HTTPS or HTTP to the API endpoint. The request must include the required parameters for the operation. IoT Platform then processes the request and returns the result.

To enhance the security of your Alibaba Cloud account, we recommend that you use a Resource Access Management (RAM) user to call IoT Platform API operations. For information about how to grant a RAM user the required access permissions, see the IoT API authorization mapping table.
