Supported regions
Alibaba Cloud IoT Platform is available in multiple regions. Choose a region based on your latency, service interconnection, and pricing needs.
Concept
A region is a geographical area where a data center is located. Regions are named after the city where the data center resides. For example, China (Shanghai) indicates that the data center is in Shanghai.
How to select a region
You must select a deployment region when you create or purchase an Alibaba Cloud resource. You cannot change the region after the resource is created.
Consider the following factors when you select a region:
|
Factor |
Description |
|
Geographical location |
Deploying resources closer to your users reduces network latency and improves access speed. Select a region that meets the latency requirements of your business scenario. |
|
Service interconnection requirements for multiple products |
Important
If you have already purchased an Alibaba Cloud networking service to resolve connectivity limitations between cloud products, you can ignore this factor.
|
|
Resource price |
Select a region that fits your budget. Resource prices may vary across regions. For pricing details, see the product page or purchase page of the Alibaba Cloud product. |
