Purchase Enterprise Edition or Ultimate Edition

The Trial Edition of IoT Digital Twin lets you evaluate its basic features. To access higher resource specifications and support for more complex IoT digital twin use cases, purchase the Enterprise Edition or Ultimate Edition. This topic describes the billing methods and purchase process for these editions.

Background information

IoT Digital Twin is available in Trial, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions. For a comparison of features and resource limits between these editions, see Service overview.

Trial Edition

Free.

The Trial Edition is valid for one month. After the trial period ends, you can purchase the Enterprise Edition or Ultimate Edition. For the trial application process, see Alibaba Cloud Free Tier for IoT Platform.

Enterprise Edition

Subscription. A subscription lets you use all services included in the selected edition.

Ultimate Edition

Purchase an edition

You need to purchase an IoT Digital Twin edition if your Trial Edition has expired, or if your paid edition has expired and its resources have been released.

  1. Log on to the IoT Platform console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Value-added Services.

  2. In the IoT Digital Twin section, click Go to Service.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane of the workbench, click usage statistics.

  4. On the usage statistics page, click Purchase in the upper-right corner.

  5. On the IoT Digital Twin purchase page, select the specifications.

    Description

    Region

    Available regions: China (Shanghai) and China (Beijing).

    Bind enterprise instance

    You can select an Alibaba Cloud IoT Platform Enterprise Edition instance in the corresponding region.

    Purchase type

    Available types: Trial Edition, Enterprise Edition, and Ultimate Edition.

    Important

    If you select Trial Edition, you cannot modify the specifications.

    data ingestion TPS

    The maximum number of calls per second to the ImportDTData API to map data for the instance. Usage must not exceed this value.

    data forwarding TPS

    The maximum rate, in transactions per second (TPS), at which an instance can forward data from IoT Digital Twin to other cloud services. Usage must not exceed this value.

    rule execution

    The maximum number of rules (parent, child, and self-invoking) that can be triggered per second for the instance. Usage must not exceed this value.

    Number of components

    The maximum total number of components across all scenes and spaces for the instance. Usage must not exceed this value.

    subscription duration

    The duration of the subscription.

    When the subscription expires, the service stops. You can renew it to continue using the service.

  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the purchase.

    The configuration items include: select a region (China (Shanghai) or China (Beijing)), Bind enterprise instance, and Purchase type (Trial Edition, Enterprise Edition, or Ultimate Edition). Set the data ingestion TPS (100 to 2,000 TPS), data forwarding TPS (100 to 2,000 TPS), rule execution (100 to 5,000 TPS), and Number of components (50 to 5,000). Select a subscription duration, enable auto-renewal if needed, accept the Terms of Service, and then click Buy Now.

View usage statistics

You can view resource usage for your IoT Digital Twin instance. Metrics include the number of components, data ingestion TPS, data forwarding TPS, and rule execution TPS, along with their data trends.

  1. Log on to the IoT Platform console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Value-added Services.

  2. In the IoT Digital Twin section, click Go to Service.

  3. In the upper-left corner of the IoT Digital Twin workbench, select the target instance.

  4. In the left-side navigation pane of the workbench, click usage statistics.

    On the usage statistics page, the top of the page displays the current service type and expiration date, with links to upgrade and renew the service. You can filter for a target space from the All Spaces drop-down list. The main area displays usage metrics and their quotas for Number of components, data ingestion TPS, data forwarding TPS, and rule execution TPS. Below this, the Data Trend section shows the historical trends for each metric in a line chart.

Upgrade subscription

You can upgrade your IoT Digital Twin subscription to get more resources as your business needs change.

Important

You must pay the price difference for the upgrade. The final cost is shown on the upgrade page.

  1. In the upper-left corner of the IoT Digital Twin workbench, select the target instance.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane of the workbench, click usage statistics.

  3. On the usage statistics page, click upgrade in the upper-right corner.

  4. Select the specifications you want to change and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the purchase.

Renew your subscription

When an IoT Digital Twin instance expires, its service is suspended. Before the instance is released, you can renew it to extend the subscription duration and continue using the service.

  1. In the upper-left corner of the IoT Digital Twin workbench, select the target instance.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane of the workbench, click usage statistics.

  3. On the usage statistics page, click renew in the upper-right corner.

  4. Select a subscription duration and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the purchase.
