Create a threshold-triggered alert rule

Procedure

1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alert Service > Alert Rules.

3. On the Alert Rules page, click Create Alert Rule.

4. In the Create Alert Rule panel, configure the rule parameters.
   1. For Product, select IoT Platform.
   2. For Resource Range, select All Resources.
   3. Click Add Rule. In the Add Rule Description panel, configure the rule's conditions and click OK.

      This example creates three rules at the critical alert level.

      The following table describes the rules.

      Rule name	Condition	Description
      Property reporting failures	Triggers an alert if property reporting failures reach or exceed 100 over three consecutive 1-minute statistical periods.	Monitors property reporting across all devices in the temperature sensor product. If consecutive failures persist, check device and network status.
      Data forwarding count	Triggers an alert if the data forwarding count to Function Compute reaches or exceeds 10,000 over three consecutive 1-minute statistical periods.	A data forwarding rule forwards data to Function Compute when a device reports a temperature above 25°C. A count of 10,000 indicates widespread high-temperature readings. Monitor temperature trends and investigate potential risks.
      Drop in online device count	Triggers an alert if the online device count drops below 4,800 over three consecutive 1-minute statistical periods.	Indicates a mass device disconnection. Check device and network status.

   4. For Mute For, select 15 Minutes. This specifies the mute period. After 15 minutes, CloudMonitor resends the notification if the alert remains uncleared.
   5. Configure the Alert Contact Group and leave the other parameters at their default values.
5. Click OK to create the rule.
