When you use IoT Platform to forward device data to other Alibaba Cloud products, you must confirm that the destination product is available in the target region and supports the required data format. This topic describes the destination cloud products that support data forwarding in each region.
Background information
IoT Platform offers public instances and Enterprise instances in the China (Shanghai), Singapore, Japan (Tokyo), US (Silicon Valley), US (Virginia), and Germany (Frankfurt) regions. Only Enterprise instances are available in the China (Beijing) and China (Shenzhen) regions. The IoT Platform console has an Instance Overview tab that lists your public instances and purchased Enterprise instances. Click a target instance to open its feature interface.

Enterprise instances
Enterprise instances do not support cross-region data forwarding. For example, data from an IoT Platform instance in the China (Shanghai) region can be forwarded only to an RDS database in the China (Shanghai) region.
