Backfill device data
Data Service allows you to backfill historical data reported by your devices on a per-product basis.
Use cases
You can use data backfill in the following scenarios:
-
You enabled device data backup and need to retrieve data reported before backup was turned on.
-
You performed a device distribution or instance migration and need to retrieve data reported before the operation.
Limitations
-
You can backfill up to 30 days of historical device data.
-
A successful data backfill overwrites existing data.
Prerequisites
Device data backup is enabled. For more information, see Back up device data sources.
