Service introduction
Alibaba Cloud IoT Platform offers the Qianli Chuanyin voice broadcasting service for broadcasting devices. This service helps you efficiently deploy large-scale broadcasting devices and implement intelligent voice broadcasting.
Limits
The Qianli Chuanyin voice broadcasting service is available only in the China (Shanghai) region.
This service is available only to users who have already activated it. New activations are no longer supported.
Features
Manage broadcasting devices.
You can use projects to manage from tens to millions of broadcasting devices and speech corpora for different application scenarios. This allows devices to efficiently perform broadcasts for various business needs.
Intelligent speech corpus generation.
You can use Alibaba Cloud's intelligent algorithms and AI to simulate human voices, quickly convert text to speech, and intelligently generate speech corpora for different broadcasting scenarios.
Real-time speech corpus push.
You can push speech corpora to devices in real time to enable rolling updates of broadcast content.
Dynamic speech corpus combination and broadcasting.
You can generate, push, and combine dynamic speech corpora to upgrade devices from simple business broadcasts to intelligent voice broadcasts that support dialects and children's voices.
API calls.
You can use APIs to quickly send broadcast instructions to devices. For more information, see Qianli Chuanyin API reference.
Service architecture
Before a device can connect to the Qianli Chuanyin voice broadcasting service, it must connect to Alibaba Cloud IoT Platform and support Thing Specification Language (TSL) model communication. For more information, see Device connection guide and TSL model communication guide.
All upstream and downstream data for the Qianli Chuanyin voice broadcasting service relies on the TSL model feature of Alibaba Cloud IoT Platform. The service and broadcasting devices interact through service invocations, event reporting, and property reporting. For more information, see Service invocation, Event reporting, and Property reporting.
The Qianli Chuanyin voice broadcasting service manages voice broadcasts on devices by calling cloud APIs. For more information, see Qianli Chuanyin-related APIs and Integration overview.
Benefits
Simplified usage.
Qianli Chuanyin integrates cloud resources for voice broadcasting. This simplifies the process compared to traditional voice broadcasting, which requires purchasing multiple separate Alibaba Cloud services. You can manage intelligent voice broadcasts from a single console for convenience and efficiency.
Lower costs.
Separate Alibaba Cloud services often have minimum usage requirements, which can lead to wasted resources. Qianli Chuanyin provides services on a per-device basis. This pay-as-you-go model reduces cloud resource costs and prevents waste.
Secure sharing.
You can create sharing tasks to securely share broadcasting devices with other entities that need to broadcast voice marketing messages. This enables a wider marketing reach and opens up new application scenarios and business models for broadcasting devices.
Complete cloud services for hardware manufacturers.
This solution equips traditional hardware vendors with cloud service development and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) capabilities, enabling them to enter the cloud industry and enhance their product competitiveness.
Terms
Term | Description |
Speech corpus | A voice clip that simulates a human voice. The Qianli Chuanyin voice broadcasting service generates the clip using AI. The clip exists as a voice file. |
Speech corpus ID | An identifier defined for a speech corpus when it is created. It serves as the filename of the voice file. It is used in combined broadcasts to tell the device which speech corpus to play and in what order. |
Combined broadcast | Multiple speech corpora stored on a device are played in a specific order to convey business semantics. For example, |
Synchronous combined broadcast | A type of combined broadcast that blocks and waits for a response from the device. This method is not commonly used. |
Synthesized broadcast | When you call a feature API, you pass the text to be synthesized and other parameters. After synthesis, the Qianli Chuanyin voice broadcasting service pushes the broadcast URL to the device for playback. This method consumes traffic and your quota of speech corpus edits for the Qianli Chuanyin voice broadcasting service. |
Device certificate | Unique identity information issued by Alibaba Cloud IoT Platform to a connected device. It consists of the device's ProductKey, DeviceName, and DeviceSecret. When a device connects, it must use the device certificate for signature authentication to connect to IoT Platform and enable communication. |
Device activation | A device is activated the first time it connects to Alibaba Cloud IoT Platform using a valid device certificate. |
Qianli Chuanyin license | An authorization for a device to use the Qianli Chuanyin voice broadcasting service. After a device connects to Alibaba Cloud IoT Platform, you must grant a license to each device that needs to use the Qianli Chuanyin voice broadcasting service. |
Qianli Chuanyin project | The basic organizational unit in the Qianli Chuanyin voice broadcasting service. It is a collection of speech corpora and devices, which simplifies the management of broadcasting devices and speech corpora. |
Number of Corpus Edits | Operations in the Qianli Chuanyin voice broadcasting service that change a speech corpus, such as creating or modifying it, consume your quota of speech corpus edits. |
Call Count | The number of times the cloud calls a device to perform a combined broadcast or a synchronous combined broadcast for the Qianli Chuanyin voice broadcasting service. |
Speech corpus push | Pushes a generated speech corpus file to a device for storage. A speech corpus push does not trigger a broadcast on the device. |
Sharing task | A task created by the owner of a broadcasting device to share the device with others for voice broadcasting. The device owner can select broadcasting devices from a Qianli Chuanyin project to add to a sharing task and review the speech corpora created by the recipient. After the device owner approves the sharing task, the shared speech corpora are pushed to the specified devices. The sharer (device owner) then helps the recipient complete the voice broadcast of the speech corpora at the agreed frequency and time. |
Shared combined broadcast | A type of combined broadcast with statistical features, derived for device sharing scenarios. For a shared combined broadcast call, the device must perform the same broadcast logic as a standard combined broadcast. The device must also return a result of "broadcast completed" or "broadcast not completed" to the Qianli Chuanyin voice broadcasting service as defined. The broadcast result is sent to the recipient and serves as an important basis for judging the effectiveness of the speech corpus broadcast. |
Steps
Activate the service and purchase a resource plan: Activate the Qianli Chuanyin voice broadcasting service, and then purchase the required resources.
Configure a project for voice broadcasting: Configure speech corpora, broadcasting devices, and push tasks at the project level. Then, call cloud APIs to enable voice broadcasting on the devices.
Use a shared device to broadcast a shared speech corpus: The sharer authorizes a user who needs to deliver voice marketing messages (the recipient) to add a shared speech corpus. The recipient's shared speech corpus is then broadcast through the sharer's shared broadcasting device.
Create a DingTalk group to receive alert notifications: Use a DingTalk chatbot to receive alert notifications for operational errors or insufficient resources in the Qianli Chuanyin voice broadcasting service.
