This topic describes the billing details for the IoT Mobile Connection Package.

Description

Carrier type

  • Billing varies by carrier.

  • A virtual carrier provides a single SIM card that supports multiple networks. It can intelligently switch between China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom.

Traffic type

  • Single-card general traffic

  • Single-card directional traffic

  • Shared-tier pool general traffic

  • Shared-tier pool directional traffic

  • Unified payment pool general traffic

  • Unified payment pool directional traffic

The following descriptions assume the same specifications:

  • Billing varies by traffic type.

  • Data plans for shared-tier pools and unified payment pools do not suspend service for traffic overages. Pay-as-you-go fees apply for any overage.

SIM card type

  • Plug-in 3-in-1 SIM card (consumer-grade, industrial-grade)

  • Plug-in 2-in-1 SIM card (consumer-grade, industrial-grade)

  • Inserting and removing standard cards (consumer-grade and industrial-grade)

  • Embedded SIM card 5 mm × 6 mm (consumer-grade, industrial-grade)

  • Embedded SIM card 2 mm × 2 mm (consumer-grade, industrial-grade)

  • For the same specifications, industrial-grade cards are typically more expensive than consumer-grade cards.

  • China Mobile does not support industrial-grade plug-in 3-in-1 SIM cards.

  • Virtual carriers only support consumer-grade cards, not industrial-grade cards.

Traffic settlement cycle

  • Monthly

  • Single-card plans support both monthly and yearly settlement cycles.

  • Shared-tier pool plans only support monthly settlement cycles.

  • Unified payment pool plans do not have a traffic settlement cycle. Instead, they are prepaid based on the total traffic in the pool.

Service fee for a unified payment pool

A monthly service fee is charged for each activated card in the pool.

A unified payment pool plan consists of two parts: total traffic and a monthly service fee.

Subscription duration

  • The subscription duration depends on the selected monthly or yearly settlement cycle.

  • For example, if you select a 3-month subscription, the plan remains active for three consecutive months. Service is suspended after the plan expires.
