IPv6 gateway limits

• You can create a maximum of one IPv6 gateway for each VPC.

• You cannot delete an IPv6 CIDR block from a VPC after it is enabled.

• You cannot delete an IPv6 CIDR block from a vSwitch after it is enabled.

• Before you delete an IPv6 gateway, ensure that its IPv6 Internet bandwidth and Egress-only rules are deleted.

• Before you delete a VPC, ensure that the IPv6 gateway is deleted.

• Only custom routes are supported if the destination CIDR block is ::/0 and the next hop is an IPv6 gateway instance.

Egress-only rule limits

Before you create an Egress-only rule, ensure that IPv6 Internet bandwidth is enabled for the IPv6 address.

IPv6 Internet bandwidth throttling

• The following inbound and outbound bandwidth throttling rules apply to IPv6 Internet bandwidth that is purchased or upgraded/downgraded after 00:00:00 (UTC+8) on June 15, 2024:

  • Inbound bandwidth

    • If the purchased IPv6 peak bandwidth is 10 Mbps or higher, Alibaba Cloud allocates an inbound bandwidth equal to the purchased peak bandwidth.

    • If the purchased IPv6 peak bandwidth is less than 10 Mbps, Alibaba Cloud allocates an inbound bandwidth of 10 Mbps.

  • Outbound bandwidth

    Alibaba Cloud allocates an outbound bandwidth equal to the purchased peak bandwidth.

• The default maximum peak bandwidth for newly purchased or upgraded/downgraded IPv6 Internet bandwidth is shown in the following table.
