Upgrade and purchase services

Prerequisites

Activate Intelligent Speech Interaction. For more information, see Activate the service.

Confirm the Letter of Authorization

To activate the commercial version, you must confirm the Letter of Authorization. This grants Alibaba Cloud permission to use your voice data to optimize our models. This improves data conversion and provides you with additional price discounts. You cannot cancel the data authorization within three months after you grant it.

Upgrade to the commercial version

You can upgrade the Short Sentence Recognition, Real-time Speech Recognition, Recording File Recognition, and Speech Synthesis services to the commercial version individually.

1. Log on to the Intelligent Speech Interaction console.

2. On the Service Management and Activation page, find the service that you want to upgrade. In the Actions column, click Upgrade to Commercial Version.

3. On the Upgrade/Downgrade page, modify the configuration of each service.

Use resource plans

This section uses Real-time Speech Recognition as an example to describe how to purchase a resource plan and query its usage.

Purchase flow

1. Log on to the Intelligent Speech Interaction console.

2. On the Service Management and Activation page, find the Real-time Speech Recognition service. In the Actions column, click Purchase Resource Plan.

3. On the Real-time Speech Recognition Resource Plan page, select a Specification and a Quantity.

4. Confirm the current configuration and click Buy Now.

   Important

   • Use the resource plan within its validity period. An expired resource plan is invalid.

   • Usage statistics are available the day after you purchase the resource plan.

Query usage

1. Log on to the Intelligent Speech Interaction console.

2. In the menu bar at the top of the page, click Expenses to go to the Expenses and Costs page.

3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Account > Resource Package. Set Resource Dimension to Resource Package, and then click the Usage Details tab to view the usage details of the resource plan.

   You can also filter the results by Start Time of Deducted Resource Instance, Resource Plan Instance ID, and Deducted Instance ID. Then, click Search.

Scale up the concurrency level

The Short Sentence Recognition, Real-time Speech Recognition, and Speech Synthesis services support a maximum of 200 concurrent calls. If you require more than 200 concurrent calls, you can submit a ticket or log on to the console to increase the number of concurrent calls using the Scale Up Concurrency feature.

This section uses Real-time Speech Recognition as an example to describe how to purchase additional concurrent traffic in the console.

1. Log on to the Intelligent Speech Interaction console.

2. On the Service Management and Activation page, find the Real-time Speech Recognition service. In the Actions column, click Upgrade Concurrency.

3. Select a Specification, Quantity, and Subscription Duration, and then click Buy Now.

   Important

   • The resource plan becomes invalid after the subscription expires.

   • Usage statistics are available the day after you purchase the resource plan.

Differences between resource plan deduction and pay-as-you-go

• Resource plan deduction

  You purchase resources, such as a resource plan, before you use the service.

  Important

  If you purchase a resource plan and your usage exceeds the plan's quota, the excess usage is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis.

• Pay-as-you-go

  You use the service first and pay for it later. After you register an Alibaba Cloud account and activate the commercial version, the pay-as-you-go billing method is used by default.

  Important

  In pay-as-you-go mode, a bill is generated for your usage on the following day. You must ensure that your account has a sufficient balance. If your payment is overdue, the service is suspended. Alibaba Cloud sends a notification in this case.
