Error when starting key_mgmt_tool-Key Management Service(KMS)-阿里云帮助中心

If the following error occurs when you start key_mgmt_tool, check the hsm_proxy startup log.

Symptom

When you start key_mgmt_tool, the following error appears:

Cfm3Initialize() returned app id : 01000000
session_handle 1000000
Cfm3GetPartitionInfo returned: 0x40000040
LIQUIDSECURITY: Daemon socket connection error

Diagnose the issue

Check the hsm_proxy startup log to determine whether the HSM instance is connected.

In the log, look for the following message:

e2e_handle_client_request:HSM FIPS STATE 2

If this message is present, the HSM instance is connected.
