If the remaining storage space of archive storage is insufficient to meet your business requirements or unnecessary fees are generated due to excessive storage space, you can scale out or scale in archive storage in the Lindorm console. This topic describes how to scale out or scale in archive storage (cold storage) in the Lindorm console.
Prerequisites
Archive storage is enabled. For more information, see Enable archive storage.
Usage notes
During a scale-out or scale-in operation, the instance status changes to RESIZING or Scaling In. While the instance is in these states, you cannot perform other management operations, such as activating services or changing specifications. Wait 5 to 10 minutes for the instance status to become Running.
The scale-in storage operation requires an extended period of time to complete. We recommend that you scale in archive storage during off-peak hours.
Procedure

Log on to the Lindorm console.
In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where the instance is deployed.

On the Instances page, click the ID of the target instance, or click View Instance Details in the Actions column.

In the navigation pane on the left, click Cold Storage.

In the Archive Storage section, click Scale out Storage or Scale In Storage.
