This topic describes how to activate the Lindorm AI Engine in the Lindorm console.
Before you begin
Newer Lindorm instances provide an enhanced user experience. We recommend using them to work with the Lindorm AI Engine.
The prerequisites and nodes you need to purchase vary by use case.

Usage notes
While the Lindorm AI Engine is activating, the instance status is Activating. During this time, the instance can read and write data, but other management operations, such as activating services or changing configurations, are unavailable. Normal operations resume when the instance status changes to Running.
Activate the AI engine
Log on to the Lindorm console.
In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where the instance is deployed.
On the Instances page, click the ID of the target instance or click View Instance Details in the Actions column for the instance.
-
In the left-side navigation pane, click AI Engine.
ImportantIf your instance service type is Lindorm and AI Engine is not displayed in the navigation pane, contact Lindorm technical support at DingTalk ID: s0s3eg3.
-
Click Activate Now.
-
On the configuration change page, configure the following parameters.
Parameter
Required
Description
-
AI base node specification
-
Number of AI base nodes
Required
AI base nodes are used to manage and coordinate the Lindorm AI Engine.
You must purchase AI base nodes to use the AI inference service, time series forecasting, and time series anomaly detection.
-
AI engine node specification
-
Number of AI engine nodes
Conditionally required
AI engine nodes are used to deploy inference services.
You must purchase AI engine nodes to use the AI inference service.
If you only use time series forecasting and time series anomaly detection, you do not need to purchase AI engine nodes. In this case, keep the number of AI engine nodes set to 0.
ImportantIf you purchase only AI base nodes and no AI engine nodes, the instance details page shows that the Lindorm AI Engine is not activated. This is expected. You can click Buy Now to verify that the Number of AI base nodes is 1 and cannot be changed, which indicates that the time series forecasting model has been activated.

Read and select the service agreement, and then click Buy Now.
Get connection information
On the Database Connections page, click the AI Engine tab to get the connection information. Note the Default username, Default initial password, and the AI control node connection address (VPC). The address is in the format ld-<Instance-ID>-proxy-ai-vpc.lindorm.aliyuncs.com:9002.
