AI inference service: analyze and process unstructured data such as text, images, audio, and video.

  • The Wide Column Engine is activated, and its version is 2.5.1.1 or later.

  • The S3-compatible feature is activated. For instructions, see Activate the S3-compatible feature.

AI base nodes and AI engine nodes.

  • AI base nodes are free of charge.

  • AI engine nodes are billed.

Fees depend on node specifications, quantity, and usage duration.

  • time series forecasting

  • time series anomaly detection

The Time Series Engine is activated, and its version is 3.4.26 or later.

AI base nodes.

AI base nodes are free of charge.

Usage notes

While the Lindorm AI Engine is activating, the instance status changes to Activating. During this time, the instance can still read and write data, but management operations such as activating services or changing configurations are unavailable. Operations resume when the instance status returns to Running.

Activate the AI engine

  1. Log on to the Lindorm console.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where the instance is deployed.

  3. On the Instances page, click the ID of the target instance or click View Instance Details in the Actions column for the instance.

  4. In the left-side navigation pane, click AI Engine.

    Important

If your instance service type is Lindorm and AI Engine is not displayed in the navigation pane, contact Lindorm technical support at DingTalk ID: s0s3eg3.

  5. Click Activate Now.

  6. On the configuration change page, configure the following parameters.

    Parameter

    Required

    Description

    • AI base node specification

    • Number of AI base nodes

    Required

AI base nodes manage and coordinate the Lindorm AI Engine.

AI base nodes are required for the AI inference service, time series forecasting, and time series anomaly detection.

    • AI engine node specification

    • Number of AI engine nodes

    Conditionally required

AI engine nodes run inference services.

AI engine nodes are required for the AI inference service.

If you use only time series forecasting and time series anomaly detection, you do not need AI engine nodes. Keep the number set to 0.

    Important

If you purchase only AI base nodes and no AI engine nodes, the instance details page shows the Lindorm AI Engine as not activated. This is expected. To verify activation, click Buy Now and confirm that the Number of AI base nodes is 1 and cannot be changed, which indicates that the time series forecasting model has been activated.

  7. Read and select the service agreement, and then click Buy Now.

Get connection information

On the Database Connections page, click the AI Engine tab to view connection details. Note the Default username, Default initial password, and AI control node connection address (VPC). The address format is ld-<Instance-ID>-proxy-ai-vpc.lindorm.aliyuncs.com:9002.
