Alibaba Cloud Link WAN certification is a key component of the Alibaba Cloud IoT Technical Certification program. This certification validates LoRaWAN partner products and solutions that integrate with IoT Platform. The program recognizes reliable, platform-verified LoRaWAN products and solutions.
Objective: To test the interoperability of LoRaWAN devices that connect to the Alibaba Cloud Link WAN platform. After you pass the tests, you will receive a Link WAN interoperability certificate.
Scope: LoRaWAN modules and LoRaWAN gateways.
Test items: LoRaWAN conformance tests and Link WAN conformance tests.
Certification period: Approximately two business days.
Prerequisites
Download and port the SDKs. For details, see gateway SDK and node SDK.
Use the sandbox service to debug, port, and self-test your device.
Submit a ticket to Alibaba Cloud technical support for help with the certification process.
Go to the AIoT Hardware Center to become a hardware partner.
Follow the instructions to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and a service level agreement (SLA). After becoming a hardware partner, you can access the certification standards and specifications.
Procedure
Sign in to the Hardware Partner console.
In the left navigation pane, choose Device Certification.
On the Device Certification page, click Initiate Device Certification.
In the Initiate Device Certification dialog box, enter the required information and click OK.

Description
Device type
Select module or gateway based on the device you are certifying.
region
Select the region where your device is located.
instance
Select the instance to which your device belongs.
product
Select the product name.
device name
The name of the device to be certified.
NoteThe device name must contain the word test.
firmware version
The firmware version of the device to be certified.
Device certification type
Select LinkWAN Module/Gateway Integration Certification.
Click Edit Device.
On the Edit Device Information page, provide additional details, such as basic device information and network connection method. For Function Certification, select Compatible with SDK.
Click Submit for Review.
NoteAfter submitting the certification application, an Alibaba Cloud technical engineer will contact you to perform joint debugging and self-testing.
After you complete self-testing and the approval status of your certification application changes to Approved, ship the sample device.
After the device passes the certification test, you receive the certificate.
