Network sharing

Background information

This topic provides an example in which a network administrator shares a network credential with Developer B. It also describes the operations that Developer B must perform.

The following figure shows the network sharing process.

Step 1: The network administrator shares the network credential with Developer B

1. The network administrator logs on to the Alibaba Cloud Link WAN console.

2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Network Management > Network Onboarding to view the Dedicated Credential List.

   Note

   For more information about adding a dedicated credential, see Network onboarding.

3. Click Credential Authorization in the Operation column for the desired credential. In the Credential Authorization dialog box, set the parameters.

   Parameter	Description
   Authorized User	Select Authorize Other Users.
   Authorized Account	Enter the Alibaba Cloud account to be authorized. In this example, enter the Alibaba Cloud account of Developer B.

4. Click Confirm.

Step 2: Developer B accepts the network credential

1. Developer B logs on to the Alibaba Cloud Link WAN console.

2. In the navigation pane on the left, click Notifications. On the Notifications page, find the notification for the shared credential, and then click Accept Authorization.

Step 3: Developer B associates the network credential with a node group

1. Developer B logs on to the Alibaba Cloud Link WAN console.

2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Node Management > Node Groups.

3. From the list of node groups, find the group that you want to associate with this credential and click Edit.

4. In the dialog box that appears, set Credential Type to Dedicated Credential.

5. On the Select Credential page, select the newly accepted credential, click Assign, and then close the page.

6. Click Save to apply the settings.

   The network sharing process is now complete. Devices in the node group of Developer B can now use the credential to connect to the network.
