Policy for overdue Machine Translation payments
Machine Translation is billed hourly. If your account balance is negative after a bill is generated, your account has an overdue payment. The service is suspended immediately. The service resumes after you pay the overdue amount. Resource plans cannot cover overdue payments. The service does not resume if you purchase a new resource plan without clearing the overdue balance. For more information about how to pay overdue amounts, see Overdue payments. You can view your account balance on the User Center homepage.
Overdue payments usually occur in the following two situations:
Your resource plan is exhausted, and your account switches to the pay-as-you-go billing method. This results in a negative account balance when the bill is generated.
Your pay-as-you-go usage costs exceed your account balance. This results in a negative account balance when the bill is generated.
How to check your resource plan balance
Go to Resource Management in the Alibaba Cloud User Center. You can view details about your resource plan, including its name, deduction time, balance before and after the deduction, the deducted amount, and the instance ID.
1. Resource plan name, 2. Deduction time, 3. Balance before deduction, 4. Deducted amount, 5. Balance after deduction, 6. Instance ID for the deduction
On the Resource Instance Management page, select the Resource Package dimension, switch to the Usage Details tab. You can filter results by instance name or click the export button in the upper-right corner to export data.
You can check your resource plan balance on the Online Translation Platform. Note that the displayed balance may be delayed by up to one hour.
On the Online Translation Platform translation page (e.g., the Image Translation tab), the remaining resource package quota is displayed at the bottom of the upload area, such as Translation resource package remaining: xxxx images.
How to set alerts for your resource plan balance
Go to Resource Management in the Alibaba Cloud User Center and click Set Quota Alert.
You can set alerts in batches or for individual resource plans.
a. Batch Settings
Enable the Unified Quota Alert Settings switch, then select a remaining quota percentage threshold (e.g., 20%) from the Batch Set Remaining Quota Percentage dropdown. All resource packages in the list below will use this alert percentage. Click OK to complete the settings.
b. Set a value for each resource plan dimension.
In the Set Quota Alert dialog, find the target resource package row, enable the Quota Alert switch for that row, set an individual alert threshold (e.g., 20%) in the Remaining Quota Percentage input box, and then click OK.
How to check your free quota
You can check your free quota on the Online Translation Platform. Note that the displayed quota may be delayed by up to one hour.
For example, on the Image Translation page, the Free remaining quota and remaining count (e.g., "Free remaining quota: 100 images") are displayed below the upload area.
How to get an invoice
Go to Invoice Management in the Alibaba Cloud User Center to request an invoice. Alibaba Cloud supports self-service invoicing. Alibaba Cloud Computing Co., Ltd. issues the invoice for software services.
In the Invoice Records area, click Request Invoice to apply for an invoice.
Image translation billing
After the translation is complete, images that are marked as failed in the upper-left corner are not billed.
What to do if you purchase the wrong resource plan
After you purchase a resource plan, the order cannot be modified. You can request a refund and then purchase the correct plan.
How to get a refund for a Machine Translation resource plan
Subscription resource plans are refunded according to the following rules:
1. You can obtain a full refund through the self-service portal if the resource plan is unused and the request is made within five days of purchase.
2. If you have used the plan for fewer than five days, you can request a manual refund. The refund amount is based on the remaining balance of the resource plan.
