RAM User Settings

Feature overview

Alibaba Cloud Marketplace supports RAM user and permission management, including creating, modifying, authorizing, and managing RAM users. Log on with your Alibaba Cloud account to access the Marketplace Service Provider (MSP) console for management.

Add a RAM user

Procedure:

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace operations console with your Alibaba Cloud account. In the top navigation bar, click your company name and select RAM User Management from the drop-down menu to open the RAM user settings page.

2. Create or edit a RAM user.

   On the default RAM Users menu, you can add employee RAM users, or edit or stop existing ones.

   • Create: Click the Add RAM User button in the top-right corner. In the dialog box, enter a Logon Name (in the format @enterprise-alias.onaliyun.com), select an Assigned Role (Service Provider or Delivery Partner), configure Permissions, set and confirm a logon password, and fill in the Name, Email Address, Mobile Number, Landline Phone Number, and DingTalk ID. Click OK to complete the creation.

   • Edit or stop: For an existing RAM user, click Edit in the actions column on the right to update the user's details, or click Stop to disable the user.

3. Configure role permissions.

   1. Click Create Job Role and enter a name for the role.

   2. Click Authorization Management to grant permissions to the job role.

      The dialog box has two columns: the left column shows the Available list of users who can be assigned, and the right column shows the Selected list of assigned users. Select the desired users in the left column to assign them to the role.

   3. Click the Role Permissions menu to go to the store backend permissions page and configure store backend permissions first. Selecting all permissions enables all default permissions provided by Alibaba Cloud.

      In the Role Permissions Configuration dialog box, Store Backend Permissions include 15 categories: Overview, Products, Orders, Leads, Resale & Promotion Services, Private Offer, Settlement, Marketing, Bundled Sales, Customer, Data, Service Provider, SaaS Accelerator, Tools, and Help. Expand each category and select the required permissions. Click OK when done.

4. Use the RAM user.

   After the Alibaba Cloud account completes the preceding RAM user role creation and permission group configuration, the RAM user becomes active. Employees can then log on to the Marketplace operations console at msp.aliyun.com with their credentials to perform business operations, or click Log on as RAM User.

   Note

   To allow a RAM user to export orders, expand the Tools node in the permissions list and select the Export Center permission.
