Compute fees (AI compute resources)
AI compute resources are a type of MaxCompute resource quota for customers who require high computing efficiency when using models for data processing or offline inference. These resources are also known as GU Quotas. This topic describes the billing rules for MaxCompute AI compute resources.
Applicability
Supported regions: AI compute resources can be purchased only in the following regions:
China (Hangzhou)
China (Beijing)
China (Shanghai)
China (Shenzhen)
China (Ulanqab)
GPU AI compute resources can be used only in MaxFrame jobs.
When your MaxCompute AI compute resources expire, the underlying computing power is immediately released. To ensure service continuity, renew your subscription or enable auto-renewal promptly.
Billing rules
Resource fee = Specification unit price * Compute resource units (Number of GUs) * Subscription duration
The specification unit price varies based on the region and specification type. For details, see the purchase page.
The step size for purchasing compute resource units varies by specification. The supported step sizes are 1, 2, 4, and 8. For details, see the purchase page.
You can purchase AI compute resources on a weekly basis. However, the cost for weekly subscriptions is 20% higher. The formula is as follows:
Weekly price = Monthly price / 30 * 7 * 1.2.
