Tenant properties
This topic describes how to use the tenant properties page to perform tenant-level operations, such as viewing the tenant ID and granting resource authorization.
Usage notes
After the tenant-level schema is enabled, it cannot be disabled. Enable this feature with caution.
The Storage API feature is available only in the following regions: China (Hangzhou), China (Beijing), China (Shanghai), China (Shenzhen), and China (Ulanqab).
Procedure
When you enable the tenant-level schema, the schema feature is automatically enabled for all projects in the tenant. After the schema feature is enabled for a project, all tables, resources, and functions are organized and isolated by schema.
To enable the tenant-level schema feature for a tenant that does not have any projects, perform the following steps:
Log in to the MaxCompute console and select a region in the upper-left corner.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Tenants page, click the Tenant Property tab.
You can perform the following operations:
View the current tenant ID.
On the Tenant Property tab, enable the Tenant-level Schema Syntax switch.
After the tenant-level schema feature is enabled, SQL statements in the
a.b.cformat are recognized asproject.schema.table. SQL statements in thea.bformat are recognized asschema.table.For more information, see Schema operations.
On the Tenant Property tab, enable the Storage API Switch switch.
After you enable the Storage API, you can select pay-as-you-go Storage API resources (resource name:
pay-as-you-go) when a third-party engine uses the MaxCompute Storage API to perform data transmission tasks.Configure the Use Account ID switch.
If this switch is set to Yes, the account ID is used for permission management and for the Owner of various objects such as Project, Table, and Job. Otherwise, the account logon name is used. The configuration change takes effect within 20 minutes. Historical snapshot metadata is not changed. Frequent switching is not recommended.
To enable the tenant-level schema feature for a tenant that already has projects, fill out the Application for Trial Use form. For more information, see Apply for trial use of new features.
