The Mobi Platform provides account and permission management for workspace members, who are application developers, and end users, who use the applications.

Workspace members

Workspace members are application developers. They access the Mobi Platform to create, edit, submit, and publish applications.

You can log on to the Mobi Platform with an Alibaba Cloud account. With a root account, you can grant RAM authorization and manage space member permissions for RAM users.

End users

End users are application users. They access published Mobi applications.

End users use the platform's built-in account system. By default, this system supports logon with Alibaba Cloud accounts. To integrate an existing account system, you can configure an identity source using standard protocols.

Roles

A role defines a set of development permissions for application developers.

The Mobi Platform has three built-in roles: Owner, Admin, and Dev.

Permission groups

A permission group defines a set of resource permissions for end users.

The Mobi Platform has two built-in permission groups: END_USER and TEST_USER.

Identity sources

An identity source integrates an existing account system. This allows users from that system to access applications built on the Mobi Platform.

Each identity source has a default permission group. When a user logs on through an identity source, the user is automatically mapped to that group. The Mobi Platform has two built-in identity sources: logon with an Alibaba Cloud account, which is associated with the END_USER permission group, and logon with a test account, which is associated with the TEST_USER permission group.
