This document describes the free tier, billing methods, and throttling for the AI Try-on model series in Model Studio to help you estimate and manage your usage costs.
This document applies only to the China (Beijing) region. Use an API key from this region.
Billing overview
The following is a summary of the key billing rules:

Billing method: You are charged per successfully generated image. Calls that fail or result in processing errors do not incur any charges.

Payment order: The free tier is consumed first. After the free tier is exhausted, billing automatically switches to pay-as-you-go.

Shared quota: An Alibaba Cloud account and its RAM users share the same free tier and throttling limits.

Pricing model: Most models have a fixed unit price. The AI Try-on - Image Refinement model uses tiered pricing, where the unit price decreases as your usage increases.
Free tier
The AI Try-on model series provides a dedicated free tier so you can fully evaluate model performance.

Validity period: The free tier is valid for 90 days from the date you activate the Model Studio service.

Quota ownership: The free tier is shared between your Alibaba Cloud account and its RAM users.

Tiered pricing rules
The AI Try-on - Image Refinement (aitryon-refiner) model uses tiered pricing based on cumulative usage within a calendar month. The higher your monthly usage, the lower the unit price for usage that exceeds each tier's threshold.
Billing example: Assume your free tier is exhausted and you use the AI Try-on - Image Refinement model to successfully generate 200 images in May. Your total cost is calculated cumulatively across the pricing tiers:

First 25 images: 25 * 0.30 = CNY 7.50

Images 26 to 125 (100 images): 100 * 0.275 = CNY 27.50

Images 126 to 200 (75 images): 75 * 0.25 = CNY 18.75

Total cost = 7.50 + 27.50 + 18.75 = CNY 53.75
Throttling (RPS and concurrency)
To ensure service stability, we apply rate and concurrency limits to model calls. These limits are applied per Alibaba Cloud account (including all RAM users) and are calculated independently for each model.

A concurrency limit of 5 means that a maximum of 5 tasks can run simultaneously. Additional tasks are queued for processing and are not lost.
Billing and payments
Viewing charges

Bill generation: Bills are generated every minute. Billing data for a model call appears a few minutes after the call completes.

Account top-up

Payer: All charges are paid by the Alibaba Cloud account.

Billing models: Currently, only pay-as-you-go is supported. Resource plans and subscription options are not available.
Refund policy
Because this is a pay-as-you-go service, refunds are not supported.
Usage monitoring
One hour after a model call completes, you can view detailed metrics, such as call count and success rate, on the Model Monitoring page in Model Studio.

Q: Am I charged for failed calls?
A: No. You are only charged for successfully generated images.
Q: Will the service be interrupted after my free tier is exhausted?
A: No, as long as your Alibaba Cloud account has a sufficient balance. Once the free tier is exhausted, the system automatically switches to pay-as-you-go.
