Manage alert rules
You can modify, disable, enable, or delete alert rules. You can also view historical alerts and the resources that triggered them to handle exceptions promptly.
Modify an alert rule
Modify an alert rule when it no longer meets your monitoring requirements for a specific cloud service.

Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.

In the left-side navigation pane, choose .

On the Alert Rules page, find the target alert rule and click Modify in the Actions column.

In the Modify Alert Rule panel, configure the parameters.

Click OK.
Disable one or more alert rules
By default, new alert rules have a Normal status. When performing maintenance or upgrades on a cloud service, disable the associated alert rules to avoid unnecessary alerts caused by these changes.

Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.

In the left-side navigation pane, choose .

Disable one or more alert rules.

Disable a single alert rule

Find the target alert rule, click the
icon in the Actions column, and then click Disabled. -
In the Disable Alert Rule confirmation dialog box, click OK.

Disable multiple alert rules at a time

Select the checkboxes next to the target alert rules, and then click Disabled in the lower-left corner.

In the Disable Alert Rule confirmation dialog box, click OK.

Enable one or more alert rules
After you complete maintenance or upgrade a cloud service, enable the associated alert rules. CloudMonitor then resumes sending alert notifications based on the re-enabled rules.

Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.

In the left-side navigation pane, choose .

On the Alert Rules page, find the alert rule that you want to enable, click the
icon in the Actions column, and then click Enable. -
In the Enable Alert Rule confirmation dialog box, click OK.

Enable multiple alert rules at a time

Select the alert rules that you want to enable and click Enable in the lower-left corner of the page.

In the Enable Alert Rule confirmation dialog box, click OK.

Delete one or more alert rules
After you delete an alert rule, alert notifications are no longer sent for that rule.

Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.

In the left-side navigation pane, choose .

Delete a single alert rule

Find the alert rule that you want to delete, click the
icon in the Actions column, and then click Delete. -
In the Delete Alert Rule confirmation dialog box, click OK.

Select the alert rules that you want to delete and click Delete in the lower-left corner of the page.

In the Delete Alert Rule confirmation dialog box, click OK.

View historical alerts
View historical alerts for a specific rule and the resources that triggered them to identify and handle exceptions promptly.

Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.

In the left-side navigation pane, choose .

On the Alert Rules page, find the alert rule whose historical alerts that you want to view and click Alert History in the Actions column.
You can view the rule's Details, Alarm Contact Group, Alert History, and Alert Resources.
