Delete a whitelist group

If an external device no longer needs to access your ApsaraDB for MongoDB instance, promptly remove its IP address from the whitelist to enhance instance security. This topic describes how to remove IP addresses from a whitelist or delete an entire whitelist group.

Background

Properly maintaining your whitelists provides a high level of security for your ApsaraDB for MongoDB instance.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Replica Set Instances or Sharded Cluster Instances page. At the top of the page, select a resource group and region, then click the ID of the target instance.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane of the instance page, click Data Security > Whitelist Settings.

  3. Choose one of the following methods based on your requirements.

    • Remove a specific IP address from a whitelist group

      • Remove an IP address by using Modify

        1. In the row of the target whitelist group, click Modify in the Actions column.

        2. Click the IPv4 or IPv6 tab based on the IP address format.

          Note

          IPv6 is available only for MongoDB 4.2 instances.

        3. In the IP Whitelist text box, delete the target IP address.

        4. Click OK.

      • Remove an IP address by using Add Internal IP Addresses of ECS Instances

        1. In the row of the target whitelist group, click Add Internal IP Addresses of ECS Instances in the Actions column.

        2. In the list box on the right of IP Whitelist, select the IP address to remove.

        3. Click the 向左 arrow to move the IP address to the list box on the left of IP Whitelist.

        4. Click OK.

    • Delete a whitelist group (when all IP addresses in the group are no longer in use)

      1. In the row of the target whitelist group, click Delete Whitelist in the Actions column.

      2. In the Delete Whitelist dialog, click Confirm.
