To ensure the stability of ApsaraDB for MongoDB instances, Alibaba Cloud performs periodic maintenance. A maintenance window is a user-defined time period during which these maintenance operations can occur. We recommend that you schedule the maintenance window during off-peak hours to minimize potential impact on your services.
Precautions
Before maintenance begins, Alibaba Cloud sends SMS and email notifications to the contacts associated with your Alibaba Cloud account. Please check for these notifications.
On the day of maintenance, the instance status changes to Maintaining Instance within the specified maintenance window to ensure a stable process. While the instance is in this state, normal data access and query operations, such as performance monitoring, are not affected. However, in the ApsaraDB for MongoDB console, most management operations that modify the instance, such as upgrades, downgrades, and restarts, are temporarily unavailable. The only available operations are account management, database management, and adding IP addresses to the whitelist.
During the maintenance window, one or two transient disconnections may occur. Ensure that your application has an automatic reconnection mechanism. The instance returns to a normal state immediately after these interruptions.
Procedure
Log on to the ApsaraDB for MongoDB console.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Replica Set Instances, Sharded Cluster Instances, or Serverless Instances, depending on the instance type.
In the upper-left corner of the page, select the resource group and region where the instance is located.
Find the target instance and click its ID, or click Manage in the Actions column.
In the Specification Information section, click Edit next to Maintenance Window.
From the drop-down list, select a maintenance window for the instance.
NoteThe maintenance window is displayed in your local time zone.
Click OK.
