ApsaraVideo Media Processing resource plans offer significant discounts. You can subscribe to three types of resource plans: regular transcoding plans, Narrowband HD transcoding plans, and video AI resource plans. You can also purchase multiple resource plans of the same type. This topic describes the pricing and deduction rules for these resource plans.

Deduction ratios
The duration of a regular transcoding plan is based on the available duration for transcoding to H.264 LD. Usage for other specifications is offset by a conversion ratio.
The plan can be used to offset regular transcoding usage for outputs in 8K, 4K, 2K, HD, SD, and LD resolutions with H.264, H.265, H.266, AV1, GIF, or WEBP codecs in the Chinese mainland and regions outside China. It can also be used to offset audio transcoding and container format conversion usage.

Deduction example
For example, if you use the MPS service in the Chinese mainland and purchase a 5,000 minute general transcoding plan:
If you transcode all videos to H.264 LD, the plan can offset 5,000 minutes of transcoding.
If you transcode all videos to H.264 SD, the plan can offset 3,333.33 minutes (5,000 ÷ 1.5).
If you transcode all videos to H.264 HD, the plan can offset 1,666.66 minutes (5,000 ÷ 3).

Deduction ratios
The duration of a Narrowband HD transcoding plan is based on the available duration for Narrowband HD™ 1.0 transcoding to H.264 LD. Usage for other specifications is offset by a conversion ratio.
The plan can be used to offset Narrowband HD 1.0 and Narrowband HD 2.0 usage for outputs in 8K, 4K, 2K, HD, SD, and LD resolutions with H.264 or H.265 codecs in the Chinese mainland and regions outside China.

For example, if you purchase a 5,000-minute Narrowband HD transcoding plan for the MPS service in the Chinese mainland:
If you transcode all videos to Narrowband HD 1.0 H.264 LD, the plan can offset 5,000 minutes of transcoding.
If you transcode all videos to Narrowband HD 1.0 H.264 SD, the plan can offset 3,333.33 minutes (5,000 ÷ 1.5).
If you transcode all videos to Narrowband HD 1.0 H.264 HD, the plan can offset 1,666.66 minutes (5,000 ÷ 3).
Video AI resource plans

Deduction ratios
The duration of a video AI resource plan is based on the available duration for automated review. Usage for other specifications is offset by a conversion ratio.
The plan can be used to offset all duration-based fees for intelligent production, smart tagging, automated review, media fingerprint, and digital watermarking in the Chinese mainland and regions outside China. Fees based on the number of images or calls are not covered.

Deduction example
For example, assume you use the MPS service in the China (Shanghai) region and purchase a 3000 minute video AI resource plan:
If you run an automated review task for 4,000 minutes, the resource plan offsets 3,000 minutes (3,000 ÷ 1). The remaining 1,000 minutes are billed on a pay-as-you-go basis.
If you submit a 100-minute job to add video copyright watermarks and a 5-minute job to extract copyright watermarks, the plan offsets a total of 1,050 minutes ((100 + 5) × 10). After the deduction, 1,950 minutes (3,000 - 1,050) remain in the resource plan.
Deduction rules for resource plans
These resource plans can be used only to offset ApsaraVideo Media Processing usage. They cannot be used to offset the usage of ApsaraVideo VOD or Intelligent Media Services.
Resource plans take effect immediately after purchase. If you have an active resource plan, its quota is used first to offset fees.
Once a resource plan is used, you cannot unsubscribe from or exchange it.
You can purchase multiple resource plans. If you have multiple plans of the same type, the offset order is as follows:
The plan that expires first is used first.
After the quotas of all plans of the same type are used, any excess usage is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. For more information about pricing, see Billable items.
The subscription duration of a resource plan is its validity period:
You can use a purchased resource plan only within its validity period. If a resource plan expires before its quota is fully used, the remaining quota becomes invalid. Alibaba Cloud does not provide replacements or supplements for the expired quota.
The validity period of each resource plan of the same type is calculated independently. The validity periods of multiple plans do not stack.
Resource plans are active only within their validity period and cannot be renewed. To continue using a resource plan after your current one expires, you must purchase a new one. Click Buy Now.
