Test metrics

  • Average CPU utilization: The CPU utilization on the XXL-JOB server-side for a given instance type when it is running the maximum number of tasks at the highest scheduling frequency.

  • Task trigger timeliness: The maximum number of tasks that can be triggered within a specific time frame under maximum load.

Metric analysis

The core metrics for MSE XXL-JOB task scheduling are throughput and task trigger timeliness. The primary focus is on task trigger timeliness, which is the maximum number of tasks that can be triggered within a specific time frame. CPU utilization is also a reference metric. During stress testing, a load is applied up to the maximum task limit for the specified instance type. This test verifies that the total number of tasks triggered per minute meets the expected value. The stress tests are based on extreme scenarios. When you select an instance type for a production environment, refer to the peak scheduling values in the product specifications to ensure stable operation.
