Published configurations take effect in real time without application restarts.

Query configurations

You can query configurations by Data ID, group, application, or tag.

  1. Log on to the MSE console, and select a region in the top navigation bar.

  2. On the Instances page, click the name of the instance.

  3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Configuration Management > Configurations.

  4. On the Configurations page, filter by Namespace, group, Data ID, Application, or Tag, and then click Query.

    After you find a configuration, you can:

    • To view the details of a configuration, click its Data ID.

    • To modify a configuration, click Edit in the Actions column.

    • To delete a configuration, choose More > Delete in the Actions column.

    • To view the history of a configuration, click History Queries in the Actions column.

    • To find the listeners for a configuration, click Listening Query in the Actions column.

    • To export configurations, select them and then click Export at the bottom of the page.

    • To clone configurations to another namespace in the same region, select them and click Clone at the bottom of the page.

    • To delete multiple configurations, select them and then click Batch Delete at the bottom of the page.

View configuration details

  1. Follow Query configurations to find the target configuration.

  2. On the Configurations page, click the Data ID of the target configuration.

  3. On the details page, view information on the Configuration Content, Sample Code, Versions, Listening Query, and Push track tabs.

Edit a configuration

  1. On the Configurations page, find the target configuration and click Edit in the Actions column.

  2. In the Edit Configuration panel, modify the configuration and click Release.

    The parameters match those in Create a configuration. Compared with the Add Configuration page, the Edit Configuration page adds two features: Beta Release and Comparison of Configuration Content.

    Beta Release

    Releases a configuration change to a subset of instances for verification before rolling it out to all instances, reducing the risk of widespread failures.

    Select Beta Release and enter the IP addresses of the target instances. For local testing, use the public IP address of the machine.

    Comparison of Configuration Content

    Displays a side-by-side comparison of changes before publication to help prevent errors.

    After you modify the configuration and click Release, a dialog box displays the changes for comparison.

Import configurations

  1. On the Configurations page, click Import Configuration.

  2. In the Import Configuration dialog box, select a conflict resolution policy: Stop Import, Skip, or Overwrite. Then, click Upload File to select your file, and click OK.

Export configurations

  1. On the Configurations page, select the configurations that you want to export, and then click Export.

  2. In the Export Configuration dialog box, click Start Export.

Clone configurations

  1. On the Configurations page, select the configurations that you want to clone, and then click Clone.

  2. In the Clone Configuration dialog box, select the Destination Namespace and click Start Clone.

Delete a configuration

  1. On the Configurations page, find the target configuration and choose More > Delete in the Actions column.

  2. In the Delete Configuration dialog box, confirm the configuration details and click OK.

Batch delete configurations

  1. On the Configurations page, select the configurations that you want to delete and click Batch Delete.

  2. In the Batch Delete dialog box, confirm the configuration details and click OK.
