Resource groups help you organize your cloud resources by purpose, permissions, and ownership. They provide hierarchical resource management for multiple users and projects within your organization. A cloud resource can belong to only one resource group, and adding a resource to a group does not change its relationships with other resources. This topic describes how to use resource groups.
Usage
-
A resource group can contain cloud resources from different regions. For example, resource group A can include instances from both the China (Beijing) and China (Hangzhou) regions.
-
Resource groups inherit the global permissions of RAM users. If you authorize a RAM user to manage all Alibaba Cloud resources, that RAM user can also access all resource groups under your Alibaba Cloud account.
