Alibaba Cloud File Storage NAS lets you use tags to categorize and manage file systems by dimensions such as business, purpose, and owner. This topic describes tag limitations and shows you how to add, view, edit, detach, and filter tags for your file systems.

Limitations

  • Number of tags

    You can add a maximum of 20 tags to each file system.

  • Tag keys

    Each tag key must be unique for a file system.

  • Regions

    Tags are region-specific. For example, a tag that you create in the China (Hangzhou) region cannot be viewed or used in the China (Shanghai) region.

Add tags

To add tags to a file system:

  1. Log on to the NAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose File System > File System List.

  3. In the top navigation bar, select the resource group and region where your file system resides.image

  4. On the File System List page, add tags to one or more file systems.

    • Add tags to a single file system : In the Tags column for the target file system, hover over the image icon and click Binding in the tooltip.

    • Add tags to multiple file systems : Select the target file systems and click Add Tags in the lower-left corner of the page.

  5. In the dialog box, configure the tags as described in the following table.

    Parameter

    Description

    Tag key

    The tag key can be up to 128 characters in length.

    The tag key cannot be empty. It cannot start with aliyun or acs:. It cannot contain http:// or https://.

    Tag value

    The tag value can be up to 128 characters in length.

    The tag value cannot contain http:// or https://.

  6. Click OK.

View tags

To view the tags of a file system:

  1. Log on to the NAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose File System > File System List.

  3. In the top navigation bar, select the resource group and region where your file system resides.image

  4. On the File System List page, hover over the tag001 icon in the Tags column for the target file system. The tags are displayed in the tooltip.

Note

You can also view the tags in the Tags section on the Basic Information tab for the target file system.

Edit tags

To edit tags:

  1. Log on to the NAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose File System > File System List.

  3. In the top navigation bar, select the resource group and region where your file system resides.image

  4. On the File System List page, hover over the tag001 icon in the Tags column for the target file system, and then click Edit in the tooltip.

  5. In the Edit label dialog box, edit the tags and click OK.

Note

You can also click the image..png icon in the Tags section on the Basic Information tab to edit the tags.

Detach tags

  1. Log on to the NAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose File System > File System List.

  3. In the top navigation bar, select the resource group and region where your file system resides.image

  4. On the File System List page, detach tags from one or more file systems as needed.

    • Detach a tag from a single file system: Hover over the tag001 icon in the Tags column for the target file system and click Edit. In the Edit label dialog box, click the 123 icon next to the tag you want to detach, and then click OK.

    • Detach tags from multiple file systems: Select the checkboxes for the target file systems and click Delete Tags in the lower-left corner. In the Delete Tags dialog box, select the tags you want to detach and click Detach Tags.

Filter by tag

To filter file systems by tag:

  1. Log on to the NAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose File System > File System List.

  3. In the top navigation bar, select the resource group and region where your file system resides.image

  4. At the top of the File System List page, click Filter by Tag. Select or enter a tag key and a tag value. The list updates to show only the file systems with the specified tag.
