View NIS exception events

Network Intelligence Service (NIS) provides a unified portal for you to query and analyze cloud network events, helping you monitor changes to your cloud network resources and quickly analyze and pinpoint problems during service failures.

View issue events

Issue Events are exceptions that have impacted your business and have remained in the In Progress status for the past 7 days.

  1. Log on to the NIS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Event Center.

  3. On the Event Center page's Issue Events tab, view the list of issue events, which displays details such as the event ID, event content, event status, time, and region.

    To find specific issue events, you can use the following parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Time range

    Select a time range for the events. You can query data from the last 7 days.

    Affected Resource

    Enter the instance ID of the affected resource.

    Content

    Enter the event content.

  4. In the Status column, click Trend of Historical Alerts. NIS displays the alert records for the instance over the past 7 days.

  5. In the Actions column of the target issue event, click Learn More. This topic uses the outbound bandwidth limit exceeded event as an example. You can view the following content.

    • Event Information: Contains the event ID, level, content, status, occurrence time, region, and potentially affected resources. Click an instance ID to view the details page for that instance.

    • Usage Information: Displays the bandwidth usage for the hour before the event and provides a forecast for the hour after.

View risk events

Risk Events are exceptions that may impact your business and have remained in the In Progress status for the past 7 days.

  1. Log on to the NIS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Event Center.

  3. On the Event Center page, on the Risk Events tab, you can view the list of risk events and information such as specific event IDs, content, status, and regions.

    To find specific risk events, you can use the following parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Time range

    Select a time range for the events. You can query data from the last 7 days.

    Affected Resource

    Enter the instance ID of the affected resource.

    Content

    Enter the event content.

  4. In the Status column, click Trend of Historical Alerts. NIS displays the alert records for the instance over the past 7 days.

  5. Click Learn More in the Actions column of the target risk event to view its name, level, and the type and quantity of affected resources.

View event records

Event Records are a summary of all Issue Events and Risk Events from the last 30 days, including events that are In Progress and those that are Closed.

  1. Log on to the NIS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Event Center.

  3. On the Event Center page, on the Event Records tab, view the list of event records.

    To find specific event records, you can use the following parameters.

    Time range

    Select a time range for the records. You can query data from the last 30 days.

    Affected Resource

    Enter the instance ID of the affected resource.

    Content

    Enter the event content.

  4. In the Status column, click Trend of Historical Alerts. NIS displays the alert records for the instance over the past 7 days.

  5. In the Actions column for the target event, click Learn More to view the specific event information.
