This topic describes how overdue payments for Alibaba Cloud OCR are handled. To prevent service disruptions, make sure that your Alibaba Cloud account balance is sufficient.
Handling overdue payments
Service suspension due to overdue payments
If a payment fails due to an overdue balance, your service is suspended and you receive a suspension notification. Reminders are also sent 12 hours and 23 hours after your account becomes overdue. If your service is suspended, API calls for the corresponding product will fail. We recommend that you monitor your Alibaba Cloud account balance to prevent service disruptions.
Service resumption after payment
Your service is restored immediately after you pay the overdue balance.
Service release due to overdue payments
If your service remains suspended for 168 hours, the corresponding OCR service is shut down. You will receive a shutdown notification, and a reminder is sent 144 hours after the initial suspension. To reactivate the service, you must first renew it in the Expenses and Costs console. Then, log on to the OCR product console and click Service Management and Activation.
If your service is suspended or released, charges can no longer be deducted from your resource plans.
