This topic explains pay-as-you-go pricing for Alibaba Cloud Optical Character Recognition (OCR).

The OCR service is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis by default. If you do not have an active prepaid resource package, you are automatically billed on a pay-as-you-go basis after your free tier is exhausted. Note: You cannot use resource packages from Alibaba Cloud Marketplace to offset pay-as-you-go charges.
With pay-as-you-go, you are billed for your actual usage, and there is no upper limit. Pricing follows a monthly tiered model, where calls are billed at the unit price for their corresponding tier. A consolidated bill for the previous month is generated on the first day of each month.
For pay-as-you-go settlement, the system generates bills and deducts fees daily. Alibaba Cloud also checks your account balance hourly to determine if your account is in arrears. This check determines whether to suspend your services. To prevent service disruptions, ensure your account has a sufficient balance.
For example, if a user's monthly usage for ID card recognition totals 120,200 calls, including 200 calls covered by the free tier, the total cost is calculated as follows:
- 200 x 0 + 10,000 x 0.0825 + 90,000 x 0.0495 + 20,000 x 0.0415 = CNY 6,110

The pay-as-you-go plan for the Unified OCR API has two tiers, priced in CNY per call.
