ID card recognition
Duguang OCR ID card recognition supports the recognition of both the front and back of second-generation ID cards from the Chinese mainland. It provides structured recognition for fields such as name, gender, ethnicity, address, date of birth, ID number, issuing authority, and validity period. The API also supports all fields on ID cards for ethnic minorities, such as Zhuang, Uyghur, Mongol, Manchu, and Tibetan. It recognizes the main fields of temporary ID cards. The service can also determine if an image is an original photo or a photocopy and detect the location of the face.
International passport recognition
Duguang OCR international passport recognition uses industry-leading deep learning technology. Duguang OCR Hong Kong (China) ID card recognition supports two types of certificates: Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card and Hong Kong Identity Card. It supports full-field recognition, including Chinese name (if any), English name, Chinese commercial code for name (if any), date of birth, gender, symbol mark, and ID card number.
