This topic describes what alerts are.
Definition
Alerts from a monitoring source are processed based on rules. If an alert's trigger type is Alert, it is recorded in the product as a new alert.
Convergence and denoising rules are used to send notifications for valid alerts only. The system archives the original records for each alert. This helps development and O&M engineers find and fix online issues and threats.
Core features
Alerting is simple and lightweight. It supports alert layering and records a complete history for each alert.
Lightweight alert notifications: Alerts can notify subscribers without an event stream.
Differentiated alert priorities: Routing rules can trigger P1 to P4 alerts. High-priority alerts are prioritized.
Complete alert records: The system records every original alert that is converged into a final alert. This helps development and O&M engineers find and fix online issues and threats.
