Default rules for O&M items automatically detect and handle common O&M events to improve operational efficiency and automation. You can create rules from preset templates to monitor and respond to specific events.
Procedure

Log on to the CloudOps Orchestration Service (OOS) console.

In the navigation pane, select Quick Setup.

On the Default Rules of O&M Items tab, click Create.

Select the region scope for the rule application. You can choose to deploy in the current region, or click the drop-down menu to select a specific region.

Select a preset rule based on your requirements. The following rules are currently supported:

ECS instance shutdown (system error)
-
ECS instance shutdown (system maintenance)
-
ESS elastic scaling group expansion and scaling activity failed

ESS elastic expansion group expansion and contraction activity failed
-
RDS instance minor version upgrade
-
RDS instance scheduled operation and maintenance events
-
RDS instance migration
-
OOS execution failed

Click Create to save the default rule.

Effective scope: Ensure that the selected region scope matches your resource deployment so that rules work as expected.

Template selection: Select rule templates that match your actual O&M requirements to avoid unnecessary rule interference.
