Deleting a table permanently removes its data. Before you proceed, ensure the table is no longer in use.
-
This topic describes how to delete a table. Log on to the OpenSearch console. Go to the details page of the instance that you want to manage and click Table Management in the left-side pane. Find the table that you want to delete and stop the table before you delete it.
In the Actions column for the desired table, click the more icon and select Stop.
-
In the left-side pane, click Change History. On the Cluster Changes tab, you can view the stopping process of the table.
The page displays the status of each FSM task, including its task name, timestamp, associated cluster, and status pipeline. For example, the status pipeline for the
update_biz_depend_index_fsmtask is start → biz updating → online updating → target checking → trigger push config. The change is successful only after all stages are complete and all running tasks, such as theonline_config_mra_trace_fsmtask, have finished. -
After the table is stopped, delete the table.
On the Table Management page, locate the table you want to delete. Ensure its status is Stopped, and then click Delete in the Actions column.
