Manage lifecycle rules (Android SDK)

Configure lifecycle rules based on the last modified time to automatically transition objects to colder storage classes or delete them, reducing storage costs.

Usage notes

  • Required permissions: oss:PutBucketLifecycle to configure rules, oss:GetBucketLifecycle to query rules, and oss:DeleteBucketLifecycle to delete all lifecycle rules. Grant custom access policies to a RAM user.

  • Before you run the sample code in this topic, you must create an OSSClient instance by using methods such as using a custom domain name or Security Token Service (STS). For more information, see Initialization (Android SDK).

Configure lifecycle rules

The following code configures lifecycle rules based on the last modified time for a bucket named examplebucket. You can also modify existing lifecycle rules.

// Expire incomplete multipart uploads after 3 days.

Delete lifecycle rules
