Version 1.91.4

Updated at:

This topic introduces the updates in ossfs 1.91.4.

New feature

V4 signature algorithm

The Object Storage Service (OSS) signature mechanism is used to verify the identity of the request sender and the validity of the request to block unauthorized access and prevent data tampering. OSS supports signature algorithms V1 and V4. The signature algorithm V4 uses the OSS4-HMAC-SHA256 hash algorithm and a more complex signature calculation process to ensure the security of data interaction.

By default, ossfs uses the OSS signature algorithm V1. To use the signature algorithm V4, you can set configuration options described in the following table.

Option

Description

sigv4

Specifies whether the OSS signature algorithm V4 is used. By default, ossfs uses the signature algorithm V1. After the -osigv4 parameter is set up, ossfs signs related requests by using signature algorithm V4.

region

Region IDs in requests made for OSS buckets. This option is left empty by default. The parameter -oregion=<region_id> is required in the request when you use the signature algorithm V4.

Stability enhancement

Stability is enhanced in case read and write operations of a large number of objects are required.
