Fees for transfer acceleration
Transfer acceleration improves the speed of long-distance data transfers for buckets. For example, it speeds up file uploads and downloads between the Chinese mainland and regions outside the Chinese mainland. After you enable transfer acceleration, Object Storage Service (OSS) generates an acceleration endpoint. Transfer acceleration fees are incurred when you use this endpoint to transfer data. You can still use the default OSS domain name. No transfer acceleration fees are incurred when you use the default domain name.
Pricing
This topic describes the billable items and billing methods for OSS. For pricing details, see OSS Pricing.
Billable items
Transfer acceleration is a separate billable item. Fees for transfer acceleration are charged in addition to fees for outbound traffic over the internet. For example, if you are located in the Germany (Frankfurt) region and use an acceleration endpoint to download 1 GB of data from a bucket in the China (Hangzhou) region, you incur two types of charges: a fee for 1 GB of transfer acceleration (AccO2MOut) and a fee for 1 GB of outbound traffic over the internet. The outbound traffic fee is determined by the region where the bucket is located.
The following billable items are billed on an hourly basis. Bills are typically generated after the current billing cycle ends. The actual time when a bill is generated is determined by the system.

Pay-as-you-go |
All billable items are pay-as-you-go by default. You are charged based on your actual usage. You use the service first and pay later. |
Upload and download traffic fluctuates and is hard to predict. |
|
|
Transfer acceleration plan |
A resource plan for transfer acceleration billable items. Usage is deducted from the resource plan first during billing. You purchase the plan first and then use it to offset usage. |
Accelerated upload and download traffic is relatively stable and predictable. |
