Problem description
The bucket is disabled and cannot be accessed.
Causes
The BucketDisable error occurs for one of the following reasons:
The bucket contains non-compliant content (for example, pornographic, political biases, or terrorism-related materials).
The account has overdue payments.
Examples
You initiated a PutObject request to access a bucket, but the bucket is disabled.
Solutions
Follow these steps to identify the cause and restore access.
Log on to the Expenses and Costs console and check whether your Alibaba Cloud account has overdue payments.
If your account has overdue payments: Top up your account balance, then retry the request.
If your account has no overdue payments: Proceed to the next step.
WarningAfter an overdue payment occurs, Object Storage Service (OSS) remains accessible for a 24-hour grace period. Access is suspended if the overdue payment is not complete after the grace period. Suspended data is retained for 15 days—after which it is permanently deleted. If you receive an OSS overdue payment notice in the Message Center console, top up your balance immediately to prevent service suspension.
Log on to the Message Center console. On the Internal Messages page, click the Security tab and check whether you received a content violation notification.
If a violation notification exists: Resolve the issue by following the guidance in OSS sandbox.
If no violation notification exists: Contact technical support.
