Requests are throttled.
Causes
Upload or download traffic exceeds the bandwidth limit for your Alibaba Cloud account.
Examples
You initiated upload requests for a bucket, but throttling was triggered because the upload traffic exceeded the limit.
You initiated download requests for a bucket, but throttling was triggered because the download traffic exceeded the limit.
Solutions
The bandwidth limits per Alibaba Cloud account are:
| Region | Upstream bandwidth | Downstream bandwidth |

| Regions in the Chinese mainland | 10 Gbit/s | 10 Gbit/s |
| Regions outside the Chinese mainland | 5 Gbit/s | 5 Gbit/s |
To resolve the issue:
Reduce upload or download traffic to stay within the limits above.
If your workload consistently requires higher bandwidth — for example, for offline big data processing — contact technical support to request a bandwidth increase (10 Gbit/s to 100 Gbit/s).
