Problem description

The length of the PlaylistName parameter in the Target node of a PutLiveChannel request is invalid.

Causes

A PutLiveChannel request to create a LiveChannel fails if the PlaylistName parameter in the Target node of the XML request body has an invalid length. This parameter specifies the name of the generated M3U8 file. The value must be 6 to 128 characters in length, end with .m3u8, and not contain any forward slash (/) characters. The default value is playlist.m3u8.

The request fails because the value of the PlaylistName child node in the Target node is too long. The length is outside the valid range of 6 to 128 characters.

Solutions

Ensure that all parameters in the Target node of the XML request body are valid. The following code provides an example of a valid request:
