How to analyze OSS data with Databend Cloud-Object Storage Service(OSS)-阿里云帮助中心

Databend Cloud is a secure, easy-to-use, scalable, cost-effective, and highly reliable cloud service built on the open-source data warehouse engine Databend. It supports various data scenarios, such as data science, BI reporting, and log analytics. This topic describes how to subscribe to Databend Cloud from Marketplace and connect to your OSS data for analysis.

It supports importing various data types, including CSV, JSON, Parquet, Array, and Map.

Databend Cloud provides SQL drivers for languages like Python, Go, and Java. It is also compatible with the ClickHouse HTTP protocol and integrates with existing tools like Vector, Metabase, and Deepnote.
Ease of use

It delivers a high-performance, out-of-the-box experience without requiring you to configure an index, partition, or other settings.

Billing

Databend Cloud is available on demand and uses a pay-as-you-go billing method. You pay only for the computing and storage resources you use. For more information, see Databend Cloud Billing.

Procedure

Subscribe to Databend Cloud.
1. On the Databend Cloud page in Marketplace, click Subscribe Now.
2. In the Activate Pay-As-You-Go Service dialog box, select Agree to the Product Online Agreement and Cloud Marketplace Platform Service Agreement, and then click Activate.
3. In the Activation request submitted dialog box, click OK.
Link your Databend Cloud account.
1. On the Purchased Services page, find Databend Cloud, and then click Log on without a password.
2. In the Prompt dialog box, click OK.
3. On the Link Databend Cloud Account page, select Create a new Databend Cloud account, enter your email address in the Email Address field, and then click Send.
Register and use Databend Cloud.
1. Click the registration link in the email, follow the on-screen instructions to create your Databend Cloud account, and then click Get Started.
2. On the Link Databend Cloud Account page, select Bind the currently logged-in account, and then click OK.
3. Return to the Purchased Services in Marketplace page, and click Log on without a password for Databend Cloud.
4. On the right, click Start your Databend Cloud journey to connect to the Databend Cloud platform.

Analyze OSS data.

You can use an external stage in Databend Cloud to directly read data from an OSS bucket. A stage is a staging area in Databend Cloud used for loading data. For more information, see Load data from an external stage.
