Lingjun HUB enables communication between different Lingjun CIDR Blocks and between Lingjun CIDR Blocks and Lingjun Connections, allowing you to build a custom Lingjun network. This topic describes how to manage a Lingjun HUB.

Limitations

You can manage Lingjun HUB only in the China (Ulanqab) region.

Background information

image
  • A Lingjun HUB acts as a central forwarding component within a region, routing traffic between network instances within that region. You can use a Lingjun HUB to connect multiple network instances, including Lingjun CIDR Blocks and Lingjun Connections. Each connection between a network instance and a Lingjun HUB is called a network instance connection.

  • Each Lingjun HUB includes a route table. You can create route policies in the route table or use automatically created ones. A route policy includes information such as the source instance that publishes routes and the destination instance that receives them. Only network instances that are configured with a route policy can communicate with each other.

  • With a Lingjun HUB instance, multiple Lingjun CIDR Blocks can communicate with each other and share a single Lingjun Connection, as shown in Figure 1. A single Lingjun network can also use multiple Lingjun Connections simultaneously, as shown in Figure 2.

  • High reliability and high quality

Lingjun HUB uses multiple physical routes and devices for load balancing. If a device or link fails, failover completes within seconds. The network has multiple high-quality transmission links between any two nodes. If an underlying link fails, the network converges automatically.

  • Secure and flexible enterprise networking

Lingjun HUB supports custom route policies to meet enterprise networking requirements.

Procedure

  1. Create a Lingjun HUB instance.

  2. Create a network instance connection. Connect a network instance, such as a Lingjun CIDR Block or Lingjun Connection, to a Lingjun HUB instance.

  3. Create a route policy. Enable communication between different network instances.

    Note

Network instance connections and route policies belong to the corresponding Lingjun HUB instance.

Create a Lingjun HUB

  1. Log on to the Intelligent Computing Lingjun console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Network Resources > Lingjun HUB. You can filter Lingjun HUB instances by criteria such as Instance ID.

  3. Click Create Lingjun HUB, and configure settings such as the Zone and Name for the Lingjun HUB.

    Important

The availability zone of a Lingjun HUB cannot be changed after the instance is created. We recommend that you select the same availability zone as your Lingjun compute nodes and Lingjun Connections to minimize network latency.

  4. Click OK.

    Note

You can create a maximum of four Lingjun HUB instances in a single region.

Create a network instance connection

Warning

When you create a network instance connection, traffic in the corresponding Lingjun HUB instance may cause transient packet loss for a few seconds. We recommend that you perform this operation during off-peak hours.

You can create a network instance connection in a Lingjun HUB.

  1. Log on to the Intelligent Computing Lingjun console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Network Resources > Lingjun HUB.

  3. Click the instance ID of the target Lingjun HUB to go to its details page.

  4. View the basic information of the Lingjun HUB.

  5. Click the Network Instance Connection tab.

  6. Click Create Network Instance Connection. In the Create Network Instance Connection panel, configure parameters such as Connection Name and Network Instance Type.

    Important

To create a cross-account network instance connection:

    1. The other account must first grant permission to your account to access the target Lingjun HUB. For more information, see Authorize a Lingjun HUB for a cross-account Lingjun CIDR Block and Authorize a Lingjun HUB for a cross-account Lingjun Connection.

    2. Set Resource Account to Cross-account.

  7. Click OK to create the network instance connection.

    Important

If you select the Automatically receive all routes from this Lingjun HUB instance checkbox, the system automatically adds a corresponding route policy to the current Lingjun HUB after the connection is created. This allows the connection to receive all routes from other network instances within the HUB, including routes from future connections.

Create a route policy

Lingjun HUB uses route policies to control which routes each network instance connection can receive. If no route policy is configured, network instance connections cannot receive any routes.

You can create a route policy in one of the following two ways:

  • Automatic creation: When you create a network instance connection, select the Automatically receive all routes from this Lingjun HUB instance checkbox.

  • Manual creation: Follow these steps:

    1. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Network Resources > Lingjun HUB.

    2. Click the instance ID of the target Lingjun HUB to go to its details page.

    3. Click the Route Policy tab to view existing route policies.

    4. Click Create Route Policy. In the Create Route Policy panel, configure settings such as Policy Number, Source Instance, and Destination Instance.

      Note
      • If you click Allow, the source and destination instances can communicate with each other. If you click Reject, they cannot.

      • If two route policies have the same source and destination instances, the policy with the lower policy number takes precedence.

    5. Click OK to create the route policy.

View network instance routes

  1. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Network Resources > Lingjun HUB.

  2. Click the instance ID of the target Lingjun HUB to go to its details page.

  3. Click the Route Policy tab to view information about the route policies, such as Instance ID, Policy Number, and Status. You can filter the route information by source instance ID, destination instance ID, and route policy ID.

    Note

The status of a route policy can be Available, Unavailable, In Progress, or Deleting.

Delete route policy

  1. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Network Resources > Lingjun HUB.

  2. Click the instance ID of the target Lingjun HUB.

  3. Click the Route Policy tab. In the Actions column of the target route policy, click Delete.

  4. In the Delete confirmation dialog box, review the route policy information and click OK.

Delete network instance connection

  1. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Network Resources > Lingjun HUB.

  2. Click the instance ID of the target Lingjun HUB.

  3. Click the Network Instance Connection tab. In the Actions column of the target network instance connection, click Delete.

  4. In the Delete Confirmation confirmation dialog box, confirm the network instance connection information and click OK.

Delete Lingjun HUB instance

Important

Before deleting a Lingjun HUB instance, ensure that all associated network instance connections and route policies have been deleted.

  1. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Network Resources > Lingjun HUB.

  2. In the Actions column of the target Lingjun HUB instance, click Delete.

  3. In the Delete confirmation dialog box, confirm the Lingjun HUB information and click OK.
