Overview

Use the Experiment overview and Experiment console to quickly locate and manage experiments across multiple experiment groups.

Experiment overview

The Experiment overview page displays all experiments in a tree diagram that shows the relationships between labs, experiment groups, and layers.

After you select an environment and scenario, all experiments in that scenario appear on the canvas with their associated layers, experiment groups, and experiments.

  • Use the buttons in the upper-left corner of the canvas to zoom, reset to the default size, or fit the entire canvas to the view.

  • Click the buttons in the upper-right corner of each card to clone, edit, publish, or delete a lab, experiment group, or experiment.

  • Click the "View Lab", "View Experiment Group", or "View Experiment" buttons to view their details.

Click the Query button to display the canvas content. Click Refresh Canvas to update it. A lab card displays fields such as lab ID, lab name, type, and bucketing. Below the card, each layer, such as recall and rank, shows configurations like traffic allocation and experiment type for its experiment group.

Experiment console

The Experiment console allows you to view and configure an experiment's parameters. Click an experiment on the Experiment overview page to open its console.

The Experiment console provides a search function to help you quickly find a specific experiment. Search by keyword or ID, and apply filters to narrow your results.

The main area of the Experiment console displays the baseline experiment record, which includes fields such as Experiment Identifier, ID, status (for example, Unpublished), environment (for example, Staging), and Notes. In the upper-right corner, Analyze, Edit, and Publish buttons are available. The Associated Information section displays the experiment group details as key-value pairs. These fields include Experiment Group ID, Experiment Group Name, Status, A/A test, Debug User, User Group ID, Owner, User group targeting, traffic allocation, and Reserved Number. This section also supports operations such as Add Experiment, Edit, Clone, Publish, and Delete.

Below the experiment, the Associated Information section displays details about the experiment's group. An experiment group and its experiments handle the group's traffic as a single unit. This context is essential for analyzing results. Click the "Analyze" button in the upper-right corner to view the experiment report.

User group management

Create user group rules to route specific user groups into a designated experiment's traffic for testing or observation.

Define a user group by manually entering user IDs or by uploading a file:

Manual input: Enter comma-separated user IDs.

File upload: Upload an XLSX or CSV file. The file must contain only one column named user_id. The column name is case-sensitive.

In the Create User Group dialog box, enter the Name (required) and Description (up to 256 characters), and then select an import method in the User Group Import area.
