Actual user filing

Updated at:

As required by telecommunications authorities and carriers, enterprises using the Phone Number Protection service must strengthen security risk management to prevent fraud. This topic explains how to add actual users to the whitelist associated with your approved enterprise qualification.

Note
  • Regulations require you to file the real identity information of the actual users of privacy numbers. These users can include ride-hailing drivers, delivery couriers, e-commerce platform merchants, or any other individuals who use privacy numbers. The required information includes the user's name, valid ID number, a portrait photo, the personal phone number that will be bound to an intermediate number, and other necessary information.

  • The carrier makes the final decision on approving your real-name filing. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

  • The whitelist for actual user numbers is filed based on the enterprise's unified social credit code.

  • After your filing is submitted to and approved by the carrier, the actual user's number A is added to a whitelist. This whitelist is used by the carrier to control call connections. Calls connect if either the caller or the callee is on the whitelist. If neither party is on the whitelist, the call fails.

  • Actual user filing is separate from number binding and does not affect the A and B roles in a binding relationship.

  • You can submit an actual user filing in two ways:

  • If you experience call issues related to actual user filing, you can find the cause by checking the release_cause field in the SecretReport message or by viewing the CDR error code on the call record query page in the console.

Important

If you do not complete the filing on time or if your information is incomplete, the carrier will restrict, block, or deactivate the associated numbers. Deactivated numbers cannot be recovered, which may affect your business continuity.
