Number migration
Use the number migration feature to move numbers between different number pools. This topic shows you how to migrate numbers in the Phone Number Protection console.
Prerequisites
Unbind any bound numbers. You can call the UnbindSubscription API to unbind a number.
Important notes
When you select Migrate Specific Numbers, you can migrate a maximum of 500 numbers at a time.
The number migration feature is free. After you migrate a number, its monthly subscription fee for that month is billed to the source number pool. Billing for the destination number pool begins the following month.
Procedure
Log on to the Phone Number Protection console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Numbers & Pools.
On the Number migration page, click Create Migration Task.
On the Create Migration Task page, click the Create Migration Task button and complete the required fields.
NoteThe source and destination number pools must share the same Unified Social Credit Code, business purpose, and industry scenario.
The process consists of three steps: Enter information, Confirm information, and Complete. In the Enter information step, configure the following parameters: Source pool (select the number pool type and number pool), Scenario information, Industry information, number pool key, Destination pool (select the number pool type and number pool), number pool key, and Migration method (Migrate by quantity or Migrate specific numbers). If you select Migrate by quantity, you must also set the Location and enter the quantity of numbers to migrate.
Click Next to confirm the information, and then click Next again to complete the task.
After the migration is complete, go to the Number migration page and click details in the actions column to view the task details.
