To share PolarDB resources with other users, create a Resource Access Management (RAM) user and grant it the required permissions.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- If you use an Alibaba Cloud account, log on with your Alibaba Cloud account.
- If you use a RAM user, log on as a RAM user. Note The logon format for a RAM user is
ram_user_name@company_alias.

An Alibaba Cloud account or a RAM user

Access to the Alibaba Cloud Management Console (Alibaba Cloud account) or the RAM user logon page
The username of a RAM user must be in the format RAM username@enterprise alias.
Create a RAM user and grant permissions
Complete the following steps in order:

Create a RAM user. See Create a RAM user in the RAM User Guide.

Grant permissions to the RAM user. Choose one of the following methods:

From the Users page: See Grant permissions to a RAM user on the Users page.

From the Grants page: See Grant permissions to a RAM user on the Grants page.

Log on to the console as the RAM user to verify access. See Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Management Console as a RAM user.
