This topic describes how to delete the backup sets of a released cluster, using a PolarDB for PostgreSQL or cluster as an example.

Precautions

  • Each cluster in the Cluster Recycle Bin must have at least one backup set. If you delete all backup sets for a cluster, the cluster cannot be recovered.

  • After a cluster is released, the system asynchronously archives it as a level-2 backup in the Cluster Recycle Bin at a rate of about 150 MB/s. For more information about backups, see backup and recovery.

Procedure

Warning

If you delete all backup sets for a cluster from the Cluster Recycle Bin, the cluster cannot be recovered. Proceed with caution.

  1. Log on to the PolarDB console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Cluster Recycle Bin.

  3. Select the region where the cluster is located, find the target cluster, and click the image icon to the left of the cluster name to expand the backup set list.

  4. In the Actions column of the backup set that you want to delete, click Delete Backup.

  5. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.
